I was awaken between 2-3am by a voice that said “Hey”. Literally right next to my ear. Sounded like a males voice, but it wasn’t stern or deep. What could this mean?

Spirits interfere in our dreams nonstop and can set the tone for our entire day. It seems that they are trying relentlessly to talk to people but they can’t just attack everyone in the same manner for whatever reasons.
